Here’s How Public Perception Determines Young or Old

Later in life, what’s considered young also involves youngsters that range from 10 to 16 years old and young adults which is defined as adolescents transitioning into adulthood. The last category is generally applied to those between the ages of 17 and 25.

What is Considered “Old”?

After the period of young adult ends, you will be left with the “adult” part. Although it usually happens in mid-20s until the age of 30, some people quickly claim that they are not young anymore—and therefore, considered themselves as an old person.

The statement is neither right nor wrong, because once again, it is heavily influenced by public perceptive. Some cultures perceive that someone will reach the full stage of maturity at the age of 30. Meanwhile, there are some other cultures which blend the definition of old with middle age as it is given to people in the 45-55 age groups. People living older than that is definitely considered as a part of old generations.

Talking about the age category is not only based on the numbers that determine how old are you; it also takes several other factors into consideration. Public perception is among the most considered one, so you might as well take it into account.
